With the help of over 20 cast and crew members, award-winning director Beth Spitalny has brought the concept of the bestselling Mindjack Trilogy to life on the screen. The trailer went through extensive post-production: editing (visual and sound), voice-overs, visual and color enhancements, and amazing music by Dan Ingala. The Making Of: The Mindjack Trailer

On November 6th, award-winning director Beth Spitalny brought her experience in short films and MTV together with an amazing crew of 12 and cast of 20 to shoot a live-action trailer for the Mindjack series. There's a magic that happens when a group of highly creative, talented people come together to make something new. The energy they brought to the rooms and hallways of the set (the iSchool in NYC) created more than just a trailer - it formed a shared experience, an excitement to be part of something that will go out into the world and hopefully entertain it for a bit. Seeing my story concept brought to life by these talented people was an exhilarating experience.

Best Trailer - 2014 Illinois International Film Festival

Here are some images and video snippets of that incredible day.

Entrance to the iSchool in NYC, with the Mind Jack sign to direct cast and crew to the fourth floor (no elevators!).

Beth Spitalny, Director - the wildly talented lady who agreed to take on the trailer project. The first time I saw Beth's reels, I was so impressed with her ability to create emotional, visually beautiful stories. Watching her direct, I can see the dedication to her craft that makes those stories come alive on the screen. I am so lucky that she was willing to take on this project and bring in her amazingly talented friends to help! (Beth's going over the script in this picture.)

Angel Acevedo, Producer - the guy who made a crew of 12, a cast of 20, and a set in downtown NYC after a hurricane run like clockwork.

Nikki Flemming, Lead - the talented young actor who played Kira so well she (literally!) made chills run up my spine.

Taylor Martin, actor - who played the changeling in the hallway scene, making one of my favorite scenes in the first book even better.
